The story

About Chestnut Square Historic Village

Just south of the square, Chestnut Square Historic Village gathers historic homes, a replica one-room schoolhouse, a chapel and a general store on one campus. A blacksmith shop, a smokehouse and reception gardens round out the village, and period artifacts inside the buildings show how Collin County families once lived. The Heritage Guild of Collin County looks after the site.

The village occupies the 300 block of South Chestnut Street, M24 on the printed downtown map, about a 6-minute walk from the courthouse square. Wattage Coffee, Grady Ln Boutique and Cadence Cyclery are near the route.
